SUDC Center

The Syracuse University Washington, DC Center (SUDC) is the University’s home in the nation’s capital.

With over 13,000 square feet of space in DC’s iconic Dupont Circle neighborhood, SUDC hosts classes, receptions, speakers, and more.

SUDC has five classrooms, a spacious event room, a conference boardroom, reception areas, office space, and a first-floor lounge for use by students, faculty, staff, alumni, and others connected to the Syracuse University community. We also have access to a scenic rooftop event space and reception area overlooking Dupont Circle, with views of the Capitol, DC’s monuments, and the National Cathedral.

SUDC is home to two permanent colleges, the Maxwell School of Citizenship and Public Affairs and the S.I. Newhouse School for Public Communications. The Center is also home to the Institute for Democracy, Journalism, and Citizenship, a joint initiative of the Newhouse and Maxwell schools. Through these partners, SUDC offers courses, internships, professional development, and immersion experiences for graduate and undergraduate students.

In addition, SUDC hosts several other University offices, including Advancement and External Affairs, Alumni and Constituent Engagement, the Office of Government and Community Relations, and the D'Aniello Institute for Veterans and Military Families.
